Hi BIS
Thank you for the advice.
Can I ask, do I ring Pip or the assessment provider for a copy of the report?

Hi Gary
Thanks for the info.
I've just received a letter, it's been cancelled again until later this month. No reason given, just the date has been rearranged.
It is looking even more likely I won't get a decision by the end of the claim date.

Hi Lisa
We find that when you ask for it to be recorded there is inevitability delays, this is one reason why we inform members that they can legally record a telephone call without informing the other party providing the recording is being made for your personal use. In fact, do not tell the assessor that they are being recorded as they will likely terminate the assessment, which happened in a previous post this week.
If you are using a smartphone then there are apps that will do this for you.
If you are using a landline and can put the call on speakerphone then you can record it using either a smartphone or some other recording device,
If it's a landline but you cannot put it on speakerphone then you will need a special microphone that attaches to the earpiece.
You could make a formal complaint and try and get your MP involved as it is the second cancellation.

Hi Gary
Thank you for your advice.
I thought it would be best to ask for the assessment to be recorded by the assessor, so I could ask for a copy as I would be able to use that for any MR or appeal.
I was planning on recording it myself also, just to be on the safe side in case there is an issue.
It has taken them three months to send me another assessment, after the first one in November was cancelled. Now that they have rearranged it again, there will only be six days for them to make a decision. Three if you count the time it will take for the assessor to send the report. I am going to phone them Monday to complain. They are the ones who have cancelled, so it should really be extended further.
