ESA PAYMENT DUE 09/02 was not credited

Dear fellow forum members,

I have been getting esa for years.
Yesterday tuesday 09/02 I was due my ESA but I have checked my bank account and it was not credited. Has this happened to anybody else by any chance?
Does anyone have ESA contact number please?

If you have been receiving esa for more than 25 years then the system reboots and they have to build up your file again, they dont call you to let you know, you have to call them, if you call them the money will be in your bank by end of business today and future payments will continue

I have recently had to chase a late payment for ESA. Phone no. I used was 0800 1690310 but it might depend on where your claim is handled from - in my case St Austell ESA centre. It took me up to 50 minutes to get to speak with someone. It seems that ESA were checking on past under or over payments (not yet resolved). Payment was received 6 days late after chasing 3 times

I know why they stopped my ESA yesterday, I rang them today, when they asked why I was calling I said because my esa money did not go into my bank yesterday.
While going through the security procedure, as soon as it came to the address, the phone operator said I suspect they stopped it it you did not notify us of your new address (recent change of address)She checked and that is why.
So we did a change of address form over the phone and I got the payment put in today but it says UC next to it. I’ll have to call tomorrow as I am not on Universal credit, just on esa and pip, and suspect UC means universal credit.
I am not well , my pain and mobility exacerbated by my recent move and i wass scared to tell them of my new address in case it trigged a review, i was told here it would not trigger one but I was delaying telling them because of not being well and being a bit scared it would trigger a review. Now i have learned my lesson as they stopped my esa because of it, but they put it back today.

Hi Olympia - I received a couple of backdated ESA payments that had JSA in the bank reference. Someone advised me DWP just put any code in when they're making a manual (special) payment. I waited and all the payments since have been clearly marked as ESA. They will have to had bypassed the usual system to make a (special) payment to you this time, given they'd stopped the automatic payment.

If I were you, I'd save myself the stress of calling them and wait to see what the code is on the next payment. If it's still UC on that one, I'd call them then.
