DVLA standard mobility question was created by Dave

Hi, I have been awarded standard mobility which, if I’m correct, reduces my road tax by 50%. I currently pay monthly how do I go about applying this reduction? Would it be backdated to when the award was given as I only received the letter last week. Thanks.

Hi Dave

This is outside the scope of the forum and it's not clear from the government website. I would fill out the claim form which you need to get the form from the post office and you can actually show the documents to them - rather than sending them off. Put the date of when your award starts which will be on the letter and they should apply your reduction from that point.

Hi Dave,

If you email DVLA they will let you know what to do and what forms you need to send to them.
