PIP extension letter - case was decided by tribuna was created by Headhunter
Hi I'm aware that PIP renewal extension letters have been flooding out recently although it appears to be a mixed bag for awards that were given at tribunal. My award was given at tribunal and will be ending in 3 months.
Should I wait a while longer before contacting the DWP to see if I am getting an extension, or call them now, or should I assume that I won't be getting an extension due to the award being decided by tribunal? In which case at what point would you recommend I re-apply?
Thanks

Hi Headhunter
I should not wait any longer to contact the DWP, as I suspect you will be asked to put in a new claim. Better to know now before your money runs out. Ring and ask what's going on.

Hi Headhunter,
I had the same problem, I would definitely contact them as I am assuming you will need to do a new claim as I did. It was a pain going through the process again but worth it in the end. Hopefully you have kept some notes/paperwork from your first claim to help? if not you will have to start again
.
Good luck
p.s. it is taking about an hour to get through to them but they will answer eventually
