Reviews PIP & DWP was created by Stephen
Hello, I am happy to be a member of the group.
Firstly last week I had to fill in the forms for a PIP re-assessment, my conditions have got worse in the last couple of years which reflected in my reply's to PIP via mail, how long can this take to get an answer from PIP regarding the updates.
Secondly, this morning I received a letter from DWP stating a telephone assessment with a healthcare professional will be this coming Monday via telephone, is this a normal for DWP to review via phone, I know Covid 19 has restricted many things, some advice would be great as this has got my anxiety levels going high.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Stephen
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'll answer your second question first. Before Covid 19 appeared in our lives, the majority of review assessments were done face to face. Face to face assessments have now been replaced by telephone assessments. If you look at our Guide to PIP Claims and Review - there are eight pages on telephone assessments so you can be familiar with the practice. During that conversation, they will talk about any changes.
Once you have had the telephone assessment the DWP are saying your decision should be made within eight weeks. This can vary.

Once you've read through the information on telephone assessments, come back and ask any questions you might have and we will try and help.
