Just want to share my experience. I got a told told to reapply for PIP with the forms in the post in January 2020, I filled them in as best I could and sent them. I later received an extension until January 2021 which I was relived about.
October 2020 I got a text and letter informing of a PIP phone consultation which because I needed my Sister there had to rebook.
31st October, Saturday and Halloween! Had a PIP interview and it went ok but my Sister was more positive about it. Lasted approx. 35 minutes and she must have had my answers on paper to reference.
Letter through the post dated 22nd December but took until the 31st December to reach me. Felt like crying but opened it and learned that I had got the same award for Standard care (which was what I had be given nearly 3 years previously). This time the letter said that I had a five year award.
I didn't agree with everything they said but was so grateful to be given the same award that I didn't go for Mandatory reconsideration. As was overall satisfied with the award.
