HI, PIP have flipped my daughter decision from Enhanced daily living and standard Motability, to standard rate daily living and enhanced Motability, even though nothing has changed. I know we can get the 2 points needed to get enhanced daily living but if i go through to a tribunal, could she lose her high rate Motability?
I am my daughters appointee because she has Selective Mutism, she can not speak out side of the family and has a severe social anxiety .
Pip have put that they feel my daughter could go into social settings and speak if with some one trained or experienced in helping people to communicate ! that's new! Because of this they awarded my daughter 4 point out of 12 for communicating and 4 points out of 12 for communicating.

Hi Debbie,
Whilst no doubt you are pleased that your daughter has been reawarded PIP, I can appreciate that you feel that more points should have been awarded. Firstly, with an appeal there is always a small risk that the case will be reviewed and an award taken away or reduced. However, it seems unlikely that DWP would make an award and then remove it so quickly.
If you think you want to appeal, the first step is to make a Mandatory Reconsideration- this can be done by phone, but is best in writing. Now, if you didn't send in medical reports, or only sent in a few reports, it could be a good time to send in everything! Do you have any reports from school (if not too long ago,) or consultants that you haven't sent in? If you have already sent these, then perhaps directly quote from them, saying to DWP that they have ignored the report eg at paragraph 2 page 2 where Dr X says....
I think it is also important that you have another look at the PIP guides on this site, and absolutely nail down what you need to prove to gain more points.
When you write the letter, you can say ' you have awarded x points for descriptors 1, 2 3...etc, this is agreed' and then just ficus on the descriptors that matter. If you haven't already asked for a copy of the assessment report, please do. You can phone DWP. The form is PA4. Cross reference what the assessor said with your daughter's own medical reports.
pipinfo.net/ this website has lots of information about all the descriptors, and caselaw.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
