Hello Lewis,
If you are over state retirement age and you have not been in receipt of PIP with the last twelve months you can no longer apply for it. You can however apply for Attendance Allowance.

isn't the upper limit of applying for PIP State Retirement Age not 65 years? I was over 65 years old but not State Retirement Age when I applied for PIP and received a reward of enhanced for both DL and Mobility eventually after an MR and application for Appeal. My 65th birthday was in April and I applied the following August.
