Hi, \hope every one is ok My wife has been awarded standard rate of Daily living and standard rate of Mobility,previously she had higher rate mobility and standard rate daily living. Clearly they have not taken in to account previous claim descriptors. \we fully intend to fight all the way but will she have to give car back during Mandatory reconsideration and/or full appeal which can take along time, very grateful for your advice and help.
We have had a few enquiries similar to yours. The consensus was that you should contact Motability and explain your circumstances and that you were going to appeal.
Some members informed us that they were allowed to keep their car whilst they applied for a Mandatory Reconsideration, if they failed at MR to get the enhanced mobility, then they had to give the car back whilst they appealed.
