Review form date was created by kb32904
Hi, apologies if this has been asked before. I had a quick look through but didn't see this issue raised.
Despite having my award extended to Jan 22 because of Covid, today I had the dreaded brown envelope delivered.
Opening it and the first thing I saw was the date which they wanted the form back by - March 22nd! 3 weeks time to get everything required and rely on Royal Mail to deliver on time!
I rang DWP to query it and was told that the dates for form return is now 3 months hence, not 1. Asked where I could find written evidence of this and got told "it's new but I'll put a note on the screen to say I've told you"
I'm not happy with having to rely on the word of some guy at the DWP and not having anything to say the dates are altered because, let's be honest, since when did the DWP ever do anything to help us?!
Has anyone else been told this and what advice would you give me?

Hi kb32904
I can understand your reluctance to adhere to the three months when you don't have it in writing, particularly when there are people being accused of not returning their forms on time.
You could start filling it in, and then after two weeks ring and say that you need an extension. That would give you a further two weeks, or you may have the same thing said to you.

is this about Pip or ESA?
I just sent off Pip review form, and had been given a 2 week extension - they didnt say anything at all about longer
((and indeed i had a letter 2 weeks after the first one, to tell me i had to get form back by the date printed on it (not even the ext. date) - which i ignored as i assume that crossed with my extension call))
or do you mean extension to award??
