Hopeless MH, lack of evidence and esa review Augus was created by Agis
Hi there, I just want to vent my anxiety a little. I live completly by my self in social housing with antisocial neighbours. My ESA review is coming in August and I am pretty certain I will fail it. I have Complex PTSD, BPD, depression anxiety and I am obese. Therapy place I was attending to failed me, they promissed me EMDR for PTSD never delivered. I have rubbish psychiatrist consultant who calls me for 20 min to patronise me once every three months. Went few times to get like 3 letters from a private consultant last dated in February. But I feel I am not gonna make it through assesment this time. I would really want to pass since I would love to move out of this isolating abusive place Im in. Comparing to last years I have no support. On top of that things going wrong. My GP wanted to cut my sleeping meds. Lately, I dont even function without them. I am affraid to call crisis line since they know me and I feel embarassed to go to hospital. I feel so isolated and scared that they will take my ESA away in August. Locdown will finish in by August, everything will ne resumed and I will have no proper evidence to show for. I am so stupid and clueless I dont even know how to go about getting evidenve. My depression is bad I dont go out of the house. I have no family no friends, social worker doesnt see or understand how my condition affects me. Which only brings more pain and fear. Is here anybody else who is in similar position even slightly and also has ESA review in August or summer? Would apprecie any words of support. I honestly dont know what Im doing.

Hello Agis,
I can appreciate how you are fearing your next review. However, much of what you have said in your post is supportive of being awarded points in the Capability for Work Assessment. You talk about how difficult you find life, and I would suggest that you include that in the introductory section of the form where you talk about disabilities, illnesses or health conditions.
You say that you saw a private consultant back in February of last year, you can certainly include any letters you were given then. Many people are finding it hard this year to produce recent medical evidence since the impact of covid is that many appointments have been cancelled or postponed. Submit your most up to date evidence, even if it is a duplicate of what you sent before – provided your condition has not changed for the better.
I would also suggest that you have a look at the idea of our PIP diaries.
PIP resources (You need to scroll down a little)
The headings down the side are the ones from the PIP form, but you could have a look at the ESA50 form and extract the ones which are relevant to you, and use the same principle of recording the problems you have with life in those areas.
The ESA50 form is here if you want to refer to it.
I hope this helps a little,
Catherine
p.s. I was just looking back over your previous posts Agis. You were given some excellent advice in another thread. This is the link in case you have lost it
