PIP Review Forms was created by Sasha
I was awarded PIP almost 5 years ago and my original end date was April 2022. I was told the DWP would contact me in April 2021 to begin to review my claim. Now, due to Covid, my end date has been extended by 9 months. Do you think my review will still start next month or will that be delayed too. How soon am I likely to receive my forms?

I presume I will be asked to complete form AR1? Do you know how long I am likely to be given to complete this form? Will it be 4 weeks as it was with PIP1?

Thank you.

Hello Pippa,

We have heard of many different things happening at the moment, with no clear pattern. Logic says that they would still start your review process a year from the new end date, but we know that members have found that that is not always so.

At the moment lots of people are telling us that they are being given three months to complete the PIP2/AR1 forms, but we have seen nothing in writing from the DWP that this is a new policy or whether or not it will continue.

Sorry not be able to be more definite.

I have a 3 year PIP award which was due to expire in June this year. In October last year, I received a letter extending the award until February 2022.

This Saturday, I received my Review form which I have to return within 4 weeks of the date on the form. In reality, I only have 3 weeks as the date on the form was a week ago.

Hi BLN

You are not alone, we have heard the same story from quite a few members, if you need more time to complete the review form then contact the DWP before the return date, usually it is best to contact the DWP first thing in the morning (8:00 am) to try and get through without having to wait on the phone too long.

Hi Gary

Thanks for the advice re asking for an extension and calling them first thing in the morning. I was already thinking that I might do that because Easter is just before the return date so I lose a few more days.
