When is my PIP review due? was created by organic
Hello,
I was originally awarded PIP from August 2018 to July 2022. My review was due in 3 years time.This would have been July 2021.
I have recived a PIP award extension letter extending my award until April 2023.
Will I still be sent a review form this July 2021? Or will it be a year before the extension ends which would be in April 2022?

Hi Organic
I would expect you to have a review any time after April 2023 - but this is not set in stone, because some people have received extensions and then received review letters shortly afterwards.

I thought reviews are usually carried out one year before your award ends. Do you mean I should expect a review in April 2022?

Hi organic
It used to be one year but prior to Covid-19 reviews reduced to 6 months before award ends.
As your award has been extended to April 2023, I would assume you should get a review letter by October 2022, if you have not received one by then, contact DWP and ask.

My experience was my original assessment was April 2017 - it was extended I think twice. My last letter from DWP I think was in January 2021 extending the award to January 2022. In February 2021 they sent me a PIP review letter which had to be completed by the 5th March 2021 so be mindful that you could be sent review paperwork. Take care and keep safe in such difficult times
