Hi guys.
I will have to apply for Universal Credit and new style ESA next week, what one should I apply for first do you think? also I already get some H/B and disabled working tax credits do I let them know or will it be done for me? is it true my H/B carries on for a further two weeks? Thank you in advance for help and advice.

Hi sam

part of your question I have already answered in a previous post of yours.

UC will let your LA and HMRC know that you have applied for UC, it is always good practice to let them know yourself and to make a note of time and date and to take down the name of the person you speak to just in case you need it in the future.

Hello Sam,
The capability for work form has very different questions to the PIP form because it is only concerned with the environment. So the good news is that there is not another form to fill out.

I am not sure about the phone call, my guess is that it could be your work coach just making contact. At some point you are likely to have an assessment call, similar the PIP one, but I would not have expected that to be so soon after completing your form.

Thank you again, very confused and unorganised here, what I was meaning to ask is that I filled in a UC form on line and a Esa. I havent done a UC work capability for work form, do i print it up fill it in and send it in with my sick note and medical evidence? it says about they will write to me with envelope so do I wait? thank you and hopefully getting closer to the end for a while, mentally exhausted.

Hi sam

They will write to you with a form and a return envelope. The form will have a date stamp on it, when you return the form make sure you make a copy of it, do not send original supporting documents as you will not get them back, any supporting documents you want to send in make sure they are copies and include your name and NI number on each document.

When you send the form and supporting documents back to the DWP, send it by recorded delivery for peace of mind.

You can fill in and print off a UC50 form from the internet, the only issue is that there will be no date stamp on it, so any backdate will be from when DWP receives the form.

Our UC and ESA claim guide explains the criteria that you will need to meet.
