Wrong Figures was created by Bud
Hi all
I recently posted about our great success with the tribunal, thanks to B&W. The back payment went in the bank last week, & the letter arrived today explaining it all. However, The rates of PIP that they used are not correct, although the figures do add up. They appear to have used 2019 rates, for example DL PIP Enhanced £87.65 a week instead of £89.15, & Mobility PIP Enhanced £61.20 a week instead of £62.15. Like I said the figures do add up, so would you advice that I call DWP & mention this so that they can send another letter out with the correct figures, or just leave it? I was worried that if they believe that they've overpaid us due to their figures being wrong, then they could come after us for this at a later date. Thanks.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Bud
We can't advise you on this. If it was a back payment, it would be the rate at that time. If you think it is incorrect then you can ring and query it.

Thanks BIS, you’re correct. It did suddenly dawn on me after I’d posted that the figures are right seeing as the payments was from February 2019, & the rise wouldn’t have come in until April 2020.
