Hi CD0912
Thank you for the update, I always say every day is a learning day and I do learn a lot from forum members.
Just out of curiousity, have they told you what the prognosis is with using biologics? is it only used in the short term or is it a long term procedure?
Gary

I've learned a lot reading stuff on here as well. Amazing info and well worth the small subscription.
Its all trial and error with dmards and bios, what works for one won't work for others. I've tried dmards since 2013 and failed with them all because of either them not working or the side effects.
Luckily there's a few different biologics so it's a case of getting one to suit me and to stop the flare ups. It could be just months or it could be years.

I too was curious. This gives a concise summary
nras.org.uk/resource/biologics/
but I have not found info on long-term prognosis in a quick read.

I'd assume long term prognosis is good if and when I get one that suits me. There are a few drawbacks with nasty side effects and adverse reactions but I guess it's the same with all drugs..
