Hi Gary, yes sorry I seemed to have pressed 'post' before I had finished typing..
Since I sent off my pip form my consultant rheumatologist has decided to put me on biologic injections as my current meds aren't helping with my pain and inflammation. Do I need to let pip know or do I wait for the actual assessment? I only sent my form back 2 weeks ago so Im assuming it'll be a few months until the assessment.
Thank you

Hi CD0912
It happens to us all, I quite often get timed-out.
In reply to your question, do you have a letter from your consultant about putting you on biologic injections, if you have then send a copy to DWP, make sure you put your name and NI number on both the support documents, as an extra safeguard send it by recorded delivery.
We are hearing on the forum that a few members have been assessed and a decision made within 4 weeks, I must hasen to say that this is not the norm, I only wish it was, so that claimants are not left hanging wondering if their claim has been successful.

Old age fog lol
Yes I have the letters so I'll send them then.
On another note will they assume I'm going to get better quickly just because I'm going on biologics? As we all know, its all trial and error with meds.
Thanks Gary

Hi CD0912
You could be right there ..
I have not heard of biologics myself, will have to look up what that means.
DWP will always assume that claimants will get better, you only have to look at some of the appalling decisions we come across on this forum.
