Pension savings on PIP/ESA was created by Patrick
Are you allowed to have some sort of private pension or similar on long term disability benefits, if it takes your capital over £6k?

I know you aren't allowed savings over a certain level and no ESA at all over £16k but could some money be diverted into a pension that you can't access or many years?

Hi Patrick

Your question is outside the scope of the forum, there is also not enough information with regards to what benefits you are already receiving, from you post I would assume you are talking about IR ESA as you are talking about capital limits which do not apply to CB ESA.

If you divert savings to try and get around IR ESA capital limits then DWP could say you have notional capital.

You need to discuss your situation with a welfare rights adviser who can talk all your circumstances into consideration. You can find your local Welfare Rights Worker to help you with benefit entitlements by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies.
