PIP ends 15th of this month - advice/suggestions was created by Jo Rose
We were surprised to see that the form from the DWP was exactly the same form as my initial claim. But nevertheless we completed it with updates of my issues since the last form. My Sister suggested that I ask on here as you were helpful when I was worried about the renewal letter. She helped me massively with everything but we are now in limbo not knowing what to expect/do next as my current award ends on the 15th of this month. I fear we will be left without payments & we don't know what to do. Help/advice/experiences welcomed.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jo
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
There is not an awful lot you can do apart from contacting DWP to see what is happening with your claim, you may want to contact your MP to see if they are able to intervene, did your previous claim go to a Tribunal or did you have a fixed award?
We are seeing a number of members with Tribunal awards having their PIP stopped at the end of the award date without receiving a reminder to reclaim.

Thanks Gary, yes my claim went all the way to tribunal & that is when I was awarded PIP, which is why my renewal has seemed to come round very quickly. I did get a reminder & completed it & sent it back in time.

Hi jo
My pip ended 08/12/20. It was not through tribunal, and I did not receive a reminder letter, I had to ask.
My case, pip was stopped. Had my assessment 22 March 2021, still no news.
My housing benefit has also been cut by £65 per week as I no longer receive pip.
It's a shambles.
