brown envelope false alarm was created by magpiejoe08
hello the dwp received my pip review form on 19th march 2021, today 6th april, i have just received a letter from the dwp which i thought was either going to tell me i was going to get a telephone assessment, or telling me i had had my current award extended. well it turned out to be neither. all it was, was a pip yearly update telling me the current rates are changing on april 12th 2021. i do wish they would change the colour of the envelopes to white for this kind of information. when those brown ones hit the floor they set your nerves jangling. but i'm sure they already know this.

Hi magpiejoe08
I do feel for you, it can be quite daunting waiting for the dreaded brown envelope.
Look on the positive side, at least you know what you new rate will be, whether or not you get to keep it is another thing, fingers crossed you will get a positive decision.

I know exactly how you feel , I sent off my PIP review form just before Easter and yesterday a brown envelope arrived. I was really nervous to open it but turns out it was telling me how much I’d be getting per week from April 12th. Mine has gone up by 40p a week!!! It must cost more than that to send the letter out.
