Hi - doing lots of PIP forms including Mandataory Reconsiderations at moment and due to lockdown not able to easily get Mandate to DWP as client representative when helping with claim and review forms over the phone.

Can client phone DWP and let them know that our Citizen Advice Bureau is representing them re their current claim including possible MR, appeal etc

Hi bob

Yes your client can contact the DWP either by phone or in writing to let them know that you are acting as their representative. When ever I phone on behalf of a client the DWP will check their records to see if they have permission to talk to me on hehalf of the claimant. They usually ask you a number of key questions due to Data protection such as clients name and address, DOB, NINO

Keep up the good work.

Gary
