Hi, I have been seeing alot of questions asked regaring LEAP since the recent newsletter.
My question is do you know if the same sort of thing is happening by DWP regarding the supreme court ruling regarding mixing with other people?
I haven't heard any news about this in a while. Although I read another member on here had written to DWP regarding this twice in 3 months and has been ignored.
I know I should be entitled to a backpayment from 2017 til 2020. Although I have been pondering over writing to DWP for months I havent yet had the courage. Then after reading that letters are being ignored and recent news re LEAP I have lost hope that DWP will ever approach me regarding this.
The DWP are still working through the cases. They have always said that they will write to all claimants that are affected by the ruling. Some people have chosen to go ahead and write. I've only heard of two people getting a positive response.
B&W believe as others do that letters that have been sent out where the DWP have looked at claims again are misleading and are looking to challenge these as being unlawful. These make take some time, but if they are successful they will be producing letters to help people challenge the decisions.
I can't tell you what to do here. You can write or wait.
