ESA & Private Health Insurance was created by g7ivp
My wife has been getting Contribution ESA (Support Group) because of an incurable, progressive, condition for some years. Each year she gets a request from DWP to advise of increases in her pension income and we supply this. This year the request for information on the pension came as usual but there was an additional request for information on her "partner's Private Health Insurance".
I have never had Private Health Insurance and thought that Contribution ESA did not take into account partner income anyway.
Have the rules changed?

Hi Quintus

I am not aware of any rule changes, if there were any then they would be published in one of our news letters.

I would contact the DWP and find out why they sent you the letter and at the same time inform them that you do not have any Private Health Insurance.

Let us know how you get on, the best time to phone them is first thing in the morning, 8.00 am.
