Completely confused ... was created by Ghirl#1
I currently receive nsESA (contribution based). The weekly amount is reduced to take into account a smallish work pension. I have no entitlement to UC, due to savings.
I had my WCA on 12/04/21. I now have a copy of the assessor's report which recommends LCWRA. Does this mean the nsESA contribution based ceases after 365 days, and I will continue to be credited NI contributions?
Thanks in advance to anyone who reads and responds.

Hi Ghirl#1,
My understanding is that LCWRA means limited capability for work related activity, which is short hand for saying the support group. The alternative is LCW which is Ltd capability for work, or the equivalent of what used to be called the work related activity group.
LCWRA or support group can be paid for as long as you remain the same and too ill to work. There is no 365 day limit for this group.
What else dies the report say, dies it agree that you gave serious illness/disability or there would be a substantial risk to you or another if you had to work or do work related activity?
You should still receive NI credits.
I hope this helps clarify things.

Hi LL26
Thanks for responding.
There's still some hope then! I thought LCWRA meant in a group that meant payment would cease at 365 days or required to be paid via UC for which I'm not eligible.
No, the report doesn't mention anything about substantial risk, although it does refer to my (various) conditions as being both long-standing and severe.
Now, it's fingers-crossed the DM actually goes with recommendation.
I'll post update when brown envelope received!
Thanks again.
