With regard to ESA/PIP reviews would it be a good idea to explain why there are "gaps" in my evidence provided?
I haven't seen my Psychiatrist since Feb/March 2020 due to Covid restrictions. Admittedly, I have been offered Telephone/Video calls but do not cope with these due to my Aspergers and ongoing Mental Health conditions. I stand a good chance of getting supporting letters from my GP and Support worker but would be unable to provide copies of letters that my Psychiatrist would usually send me following a face to face appointment with him, which I keep for reviews or anything else that requires them
Should I explain on the review form that the lack of evidence of Psychiatrist appointments is due to Covid and the difficulties it has caused me as mentioned above.
Kindest Regards,
Rob.

Hello Rob100,

Yes, that is exactly what I would recommend you do, but also include the last psych's report which you have, even if you have previously submitted it.

Hi Rob… on my PIP Renewal, I put that my Specialist Outpatients’ Dept has been closed because of Covid since April 2020 (and enclosed the letter stating this).
I also asked (emailed) my Specialist nurse to write me a support letter. Which she did cos she’s lovely…. Ask your support people to do the same.
ALSO mention (and get this in the support letter if you can), that any face to face is not suitable for you at the moment, as it will be too stressful and will make you poorly.
Take care
