PIP phone review was created by emmarose35
Hi
I've just received a text saying I have my PIP phone review appointment in 2 wks . ( It's taken 4 mths from sending form in fyi )
It says it's with independent assessment services anyone know who this is with ? Or does it differ per postcode ?
Also the assessment is 9am which as we.know is not a great time for many of us . Anyone have experience on changing the time and if this prolonged getting another slot ?
Also any pointers to guides to read here on reviews @ b&w or any tips and experience of telephone reviews appreciated ...
Many thanks

Hi Emma
Independent Assessment Services are one of the contractors who carry out PIP assessments. You can read about them here www.mypipassessment.co.uk/about-us/#:~:t...0your%20daily%20life.
You can try and change the time, but they may not have to wait for a more suitable time slot.
If you look at our guide to PIP Claims and Reviews you will find 9 pages on telephone assessments. www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants

Hi, I had a 9 am appointment for my assessment and initially thought of trying to change it however someone informed me that this can be a good time to go as you usually are one of the first to be seen and won't have a prolonged wait in the waiting room. I got up at 5 am to be in a position to be physically able to get in the car on time. We were only kept waiting 5 minutes before the assessment, the assessor was alert and engaged and I received a fair award. Hope that helps, best wishes

Hi Emma, please do ask for the assessment to be recorded, you need the evidence if they mistreat you. Asking this will likely result in a further delay - but who knows the new appointment could well be at a time of day you would prefer. Best wishes, Denby
