Waiting times Renewal PIP was created by sweetpea
I sent my completed PIP forms back on 19th April & haven't heard back from them . My PIP & my Blue badge run out on 12th June. I know if I call them they will trot out the usual "We've been delayed by lockdown". Does anyone have any idea of waiting times? Also can the decision-makers decide without a face to face or phone assessment? I've sent (I hope) a good amount of evidence from my medical team which I hope will help my case.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi sweetpea
There are considerable delays, but cases like yours should be being dealt with as a priority so that claimants don't run out of money. If you can face it, I would give them a ring and remind them how soon your claim is coming to an end. You don't want to be left with no money.

Hi Sweetpea,
I don't know if this will help, but I phoned the PIP helpline last week about my PIP renewal.
The lady I spoke to said that all decisions (where any changes are minimal and the evidence is strong) are being done in house and NOT sent to the AP.
She was a mature lady and seemed to know what she was talking about.
I hope this helps as it did settle me a bit. I will be posting my review form with the rest of my evidence hopefully mext week.
Good luck!
Kind regards,
Phrank.

Hi BIS,
there are considerable delays with the PIP, is that with new claims or existing claims like reviews?
Surely the best way to handle delays would be to put review on the back burner, until a vast majority of new claims have been completed.
Guess the logic in that it too much for the DWP to comprehend lol.
Regards to all.

It's an ongoing claim after a tribunal 2 years ago.
