Hi I use to get IB from 1996 after a brain op moved to esa 2013 put in working group appealed and was put in the support group until my review in 2018 had to go for a face to face failed got no points so appealed and won , got 15 points but over two descriptors walking and sitting sections they told me as I I didn’t get 15 point in one descriptor I would still be in the working group , I got some back pay but nothing after that as I had had a year so no longer qualified due to income, moving on my condition has worsened and my walking has got worse I have wrote and ask the DWP to move me back to the support group and have enclosed new evidence what normally happens now will I have to start a new claim or do they look again thanks for anyone’s help

Hi Kirk

If you're ESA stopped for a year, because you didn't qualify for income, then you should be putting in a new claim, it won't just continue. I would ring and check the situation or you may find yourself waiting a long time to hear from them.
