Hi Banksey

No, they won't be using your ESA assessment for PIP. It is something the DWP have talked about doing in the future, but it hasn't yet happened. So you will have two seperate assessments.

Hi Banksey

Responding to a Freedom of Information request, the DWP confirms that only claimants in E5, N2, N3, N4 and N6 postcode areas will be included in the trial.

The DWP has revealed that the initial single site to trial its integrated assessment system for personal independence payment (PIP) and the work capability assessment (WCA) will be in Marylebone, London.

the DWP says that -

'The Departmental Transformation Area (DTA) initial single site will be in Tresco House, Marylebone, London. There are no external suppliers – Capita, Independent Assessment Services or Centre for Health and Disability Assessment – involved in the activities of the DTA. Tresco House will only deal with claimants living in E5, N2, N3, N4, N6 London post codes who are claiming universal credit or employment support allowance and/or PIP.'

NB - the DWP also advises that the DTA is 'not a pilot' but is a long-term approach to 'try new ideas in a safe environment'.

Hi. I would still make sure your information is consistent. I was worried that my last ESA assessment (2019) might negatively impact on my PIP (2021) due to a false assumption the ESA Assessor made, but fortunately my PIP result was not affected. Good Luck..
