Pip backdated 2016??

Hi firstly thank you for your guides.

I am asking on behalf of my son, he recently had another pip review. He was awarded high rate for both care and mobility backdated to when the form was sent.

I have always believed from following you guides that he should have been awarded some part of the mobility since he switched from dla which he was awarded mobility.

But he never was until this last review.

They sent a letter saying they had looked at his award about a year ago relating to the backdating the mobility and that he still wasn’t entitled to it.

Nothing has changed since he first started claiming and on every review form it was made clear that he couldn’t plan or follow any journey alone.

Is there anything I can do to get them to look at this again? Without going through another review?

I was surprised when they awarded him high rate mobility this time as I wrote for the form for him and used the last review form and your guides to help fill it in.

Thanks for all your help, without this website I would have just ticked no change for every answer for which there was no change, as directed from the form itself.

They can do a ‘Revision Decision’, sometimes called an ‘Anytime Decision’, but don’t hold your breath…
Mine has taken about 2 years so far without a result….
Do it though!! and get all DLA records before they are destroyed..
Mine have been destroyed, and that is their excuse….. still fighting though… obvs x
