Hi I have received the assessors report from last week. Do I just count all the ticks? If I do it looks like I have 8 points for:- ‘limited ability to carry out daily living activities’ (minimum score 8 points) are paid the standard rate of the daily living component, currently £60.00
Also 8 points for :- ‘limited ability to carry out mobility activities’ (minimum score 8 points) are paid the standard rate of the mobility component, currently £23.70
So that would be awesome if I get that. Fingers crossed.
Yes, if the Decision Maker agrees with the assessor's report, which they nearly always do, it is just a case of counting up the points.
My personal experience is that it is taking about a month at the moment to get the decision through, but that is only what is happening in my part of the country at the moment, things can suddenly change for no apparent reason.
The good thing is that however long it takes to hear from them your award should be backdated to when you applied for it.
I am pleased for you, and truly hope the DM agrees with the assessor's opinion. Catherine
