ESA rapid reclaim was created by Dannij
Hi all
I am looking for some advice please?
I recently have tried to go back to employment after being in receipt of esa support group contributions based. I ended my claim on 31/03/21. I am struggling with work and my body is worse than ever unfortunately. My question is does the 12 week rapid reclaim still apply? Or would I need to make a brand new claim?
Thanks in advance

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Dannij
I'm sorry that you are feeling unwell again. Your question is outside the scope of the forum. I think it may apply to you, but you would need to ring and ask the DWP

Hi Dannij
Check out the following website: www.gov.uk/government/publications/emplo...es-from-3-april-2017.
It comes under 'Linking Rules' any two periods of limited capability for work that are seperated by no more than 12 weeks are treated as a single period. Therefore, if you have to reclaim ESA within 12 weeks of a previous award, you will not have to serve any waiting days.
