Face to face appointment covid was created by Tina C
Been told I have to attend a face to face interview as telephone appointments are no longer being offered. As a critically vulnerable person I am not happy about attending, I have voiced my concerns but was told that offices are now open in a safe environment and I have to attend. Anyone been in a similar position

Hi Tina C
I have looked up the most up-to-date information on the gov.uk site and it says that shielding has been paused for critically vulnerable people and having scanned the information given, there is nothing to suggest that you shouldn't travel or attend a meeting indoors.
www.gov.uk/government/publications/guida...ersons-from-covid-19
This is the announcement about the start of face to face assessments and what they are doing to keep people 'safe'.

I can understand your disquiet, but the only thing you can do is either get a supportive letter from your GP and/or ask your MP to intervene.

Hi Tina,
Is this in spite of the new Indian variant?
I'd have thought with infection rates rocketting, as they are at the moment, this will have to be put on hold.

Hi there,
Just to add I read that the only Face to Face assessments being carried out are where there is no other possible ways of assessing somone.
Have I read wrong?
