New diagnosis FND was created by Lorraine
Hi does anyone have experience claiming PIP with FND.I have recently been diagnosed by a Consultant Neurologist. I have the diagnosis letter he sent to me and my GP, it gives a quite detailed account of how it affects me. Will this be enough for DWP. I’ve just received my review form which is great so I can include this diagnosis in it. It would help if you could let me know what (if any) experience you have with t pip and FND thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hello Lorraine,
I don't have any experience of helping someone with FND claim for PIP, but it is possible that now your post is visible our wider community will be able to help you.
What I would say is that PIP is focused on the impact your condition has on your daily living and mobility rather than what the condition actually is. The letter you mention from your Neurologist sounds really really helpful to your PIP claim. Make sure that you only send in a copy of it - just in case it gets lost in the system!
Do go through our PIP guide and I wish you every success in getting your correct award.
