Hi Shemarie
I'm so sorry - I didn't read the whole thread properly. I didn't mean to cause you more confusion and stress. Sorry, you can't see the report for ESA until after the decision comes out. The other two points about medication and the descriptors in my previous post are the same.

Oh Lord.. I've just figured it out. They are trying to pull the 'imaginary wheelchair' number on me. There's no other explanation for the questions I was asked and the point the assessor stopped the call. Feel utterly sick.

Hi there,
Please tell me if I've done the right thing.
Towards the end of my WCA telephone assessment, I asked the assessor about taking into account more recent evidence (ie. since my last paper assessment in 2017). He wasn't interested in this himself, but told me to send it to the DWP.
I've sent it today addressed to 'the DM' with my NI number on the outside of the envelope (and on the evidence itself).
Then the copy of the recorded assessment arrived to me, 'signed for'. I'm shocked that it's arrived so quickly (2 days after the telephone assessment).
I'm worried whether I've done the right thing and if it's too late for my additional evidence to be considered by the DM. Please advise.
Thanks

Hi Shemarie,
Try not to worry about what might happen. It is no good trying to second guess DWP! The important thing is to have an action plan in mind in case things do go wrong.
I don't know if is too late fir the extra evidence but hopefully it won't be.
Have a listen to the cd, and sit down with a pen and paper and make a note of important things thst are said by either of you. Make a note of the time in the margin.
Maybe you can transcribe the whole thing? This will take a little while.
If you do need to make an Reconsideration request you will have all the ammunition you need!
However, and being an eternal optimist, I would like to think that if the assessor knows he is being recorded he would do a very good job and has confirmed the correct points. Here's hoping.
Good luck.

Thanks LL26,
Sorry to bang on, but just for my peace of mind. If updated written evidence (hospital reports, etc) are submitted after the telephone assessment, is the DM required/likely to consider that evidence before making a decision?
Is it policy to include all information or is the assessor's report always the last stage before a decision?
Also, what's the difference between a revision and a MR?
Sorry about this. I am very much in action plan mode but struggling.
Apologies again.

Hello Shemarie,
In my experience they are likely to take into account any additional evidence you submit, assuming that it is in the file when they are making the decision. If you think about it this is only sensible since they would be obliged to consider it if a MR is requested.
If you do not agree with decision made at this stage you can request a Mandatory Reconsideration, ideally within a month, although if there is a good reason you will normally be given an extension to this time.
This link is helpful in explaining revisions.

Hoping you don’t need either!
