Mixing with other people - Autism (PIP)

Hi everyone thanks for the replies. I am able to socialise but the issue is I do not do it appropriately. I'll think of some examples I can provide. I think I underestimate my anxiety (I also have a problem with understanding my emotions).

i was recommended to speak to a friend/relitive and get them to be butal and tell me everything they have witnessed my doing "wrong", might be a helpful approach for you too.
I think part of the issue is that we live this way all the time, it's own neurology, so we have gotten used to "coping", masking, and compromising, so we can't always see our own difficulties in the way that a neurotypical person would. So it's good to get input from another person who may notice things that we wouldn't, though it can be an uncomfortable discussion

The problem understanding your emotions is called Alexithymia if that is helpful. I understand what you mean as there are times I know I'm feeling something but couldn't tell you what it is so just ignore it until it becomes a problem. Sometimes feel the physical affects of being extremely anxious before I can identify the emotion. Its a bugger
