Today I received a letter from the Health Assessment Advisory Service regarding an appointment for a telephone assessment with a healthcare professional. I am presently in receipt of ESA WRAG, PIP at the standard rate and receive the Severe Disability Premium (SDP) as a result.
I have not had a telephone assessment before, having previously only had face-to-face ones, so I would be grateful for any advice on what I should do or say on the day. I have requested that the assessment be recorded at their end, which I have been told will be done. Unfortunately I don't have anyone that I can attend the assessment with, so I have been thinking of maybe asking someone at my local Citizens Advice to support me with it.
You can inform them that you need to have someone else on the call with you, if necessary. You don't have to be with that person. They can be dialled into a call.
Hope it goes well
