Pip review .. maybe error was created by enimod
My pip began March 2017. Approx November 2019 I had a review and then a face to face assessment which I scored 0 points. I put in for a mandatory reconsideration in March 2020 I received an update saying my mandatory assessment was successful and I would be awarded again from March 2020 for “ an ongoing period”. Last week I received a pip review form to complete but it states “ when we awarded your pip in March 2017”. Is this correct?
Should I just complete it or is there an error?

Hi Enimod

I'm sorry, but we can't answer that question for you. You want to ring the DWP - remind them you have an ongoing award and ask them why you are having to do a review form so quickly.

BIS,

This is very concerning the DWP are doing this to claimants on ongoing awards so soon, the idea was to leave the stress on these reviews to help claimants that won't improve?

To me this is further harassment by the DWP for no apparent reason. Persecution by this department is a joke.

Let's see if they try this with me.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

The DWP have the legal right to review claimants at any time, even those with an ongoing award.

BIS I get that, but why on earth if they have no intention to leave claimants alone to concentrate on trying to get a litter better if they can, instead of keep causing everyone a mental breakdown.

Sorry to butt in, but I had a similar experience quite recently.
I was awarded 'ongoing' PIP in Sept. 2018 after a successful MR.
In Oct. 2020, I got a review.
I called numerous times for an explanation (didn't receive promised call backs etc.), and was repeatedly told that there was no record of my 'ongoing' award in the system.
I kept telling them that it must be in the system because they'd printed it out, sent it to me, and I had it in front of me.
They just kept repeating the dates of the original award (ie. the one overturned by MR).
In the end, I photocopied the Statement of Entitlement and sent it back to them (after being told repeatedly that it didn't exist).
I eventually got a call from a manager. He said, yes he'd received my copy of the S of E . Yes, it clearly said 'ongoing' throughout. Yes, they had sent it to me, but it must be a mistake because 'it wasn't in the system...'
I had no choice but to do the review and in February was awarded ongoing.
Can I relax? No I can't. It's obviously not worth the paper it's written on and probably not even 'in the system'.
I see the word 'persecute' used by forum members. With all the logic I can muster and without wishing to appear paranoid it does seem appropriate.
