ESA was created by Gregorysgirl
I have been on esa support group for over six years. I have not been reviewed. I had a paper assessment for first claim and the assessor put “ on change likely in longer term and work unlikely in longer term”. I also am on pip enhanced both rates ongoing. I am 64.
I have got worse over the years and have had a lot of very traumatic situations. I know I am coming up to the point where I might be looked into again. I am unable to fill in forms or deal with interrogations. I get very angry with officials. My care coordinator does letters for me but I don’t like her or trust her as she makes assumptions and is dismissive.
I cannot cope with it at all and I was thinking, if they do decide to persecute me would a letter and a copy of pip letter keep them away from me?

Hi Gregorysgirl

I would try not to run ahead of yourself, because it's causing you extra distress. The DWP are dealing with a backlog of ESA reviews. Most people have no idea when their next review will be. Some people have rung and asked and they have been told not for another year and some have asked and been told the DWP can't say when it will be. That means I'm afraid many people have to live with the uncertainty for now.

I wouldn't try and work out what you will do because you don't know when the form will arrive, or whether you will have the same care coordinator when it does. If you can't fill in the form you can attach a letter saying so and yes you can send a copy of your PIP report - and you could ask for a paper-based assessment - which they may or may not agree to.

But for now, I would try not to worry about it.
