atos hcp comes up with new excuse for not awarding was created by tango
hi my friend got a nil award of pip and asked for copy of hcp report. My friend has serious mental health issues and in the report the hcp states that because she sees her doctor once a month she shows motivation so there is nothing wrong with her mental health. this same excuse has been copied and pasted into several descriptors. it was explained to the atos hcp that my friend only attends the doctors with family members and its the doctor who wants to see her every month not my friend wanting to see the doctor.
it also states the usual excuse that my friend was normal on the telephone and did not need prompting yet on the descriptor for meeting people for the first tine in the report the hcp states that my friend was very subdued and if her family members were not present at the assessment then the assessment would not have been completed and that she had to prompt the client.
also for the planning route of a journey the hcp in the functional history goes into great detail about my friends mental health conditions yet in the section where she does the recomendation she states because my friend sees doctor once a month she shows motivation and can plan the route of a journey.
my friend has put a MR in and also sent a supporting letter from her doctor where the doctor explains in detail all her medical conditions and how this effects her daily life
yet again atos hcp attempting to justify not awarding points with made up excuses and lies. are we not allowed to see our doctors now?? without the atos hcp holding this against us.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Speechless.
But I am so pleased your friend has submitted an MR request. For what it is worth, it is my experience that the further along the PIP journey you travel the more common sense seems to prevail.

This is tottaly vile behaviour, they are not health persons once they leave the NHS, they go to places like atos etc for more money, and make up /twist and lie for the bonuses on offer.
They are only called H/"Professionals" by dwp/atos/maximus/capita to make them look as such.
They are not professionals once they leave the NHS, Professionals have a duty of care not to despise, con, put people down, be deliberately deceitful to deny lawfull state help by being unlawfull.
How can it be legal that they can contradict consultants and gp's tests.
They are below gp's and consultants in thier training.

Hi there,
When I read posts like this it really riles me. These so-called 'Health Professionals' certainly know how to take advantage of vulnerable people.
It's all based on the fact that it's a 'numbers game'. The proportion of people who are swindled out if what should be rightlfully theirs, outweighs the proportion of claimants who actually have the strength to go though with MR's and appeals.
In other words; most many people as a total percentage simply accept what these 'health professionals' decide.
That's why everyone should fight for their rights.
My rant over.
Phrank.

Hi Phrank,
Funny thing is the government know all about it, and just stand by and watch how these dodgy so-called HCP's swindle the vulnerable out of multi millions of pounds, incidentally of which the disabled claimants have paid in taxes most if not all of their lives lol.
It brings me to the boil that certain people have no conscience at all for the causing of and also furthering the suffering of sick, ill, disabled people in the UK.
I bet you all if a top celeb or an MP or lord became ill, disabled, and an assessor ripped them off, all hell would break loose, every barrister in the UK would be bending backwards for the lord, MP, or whatever. And the HCP would more likely be named and shamed, and struck of the list.
But we are mere plebs and are considered to be of no consequence, hence the HCP's know they can get away with it even if found in the wrong.
Its a national disgrace, I just hope one day something befalls the bent dodgy assessors, who only think of greed.
Now my hypertension is at an almighty high, so rant over for me til i see another post like this lol.
regards to all.

Hi Mr,
Well I caused such a stink after my last PIP assessment, my MP sent four letters, my GP got involved and so did the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
I wonder if the Health Professional who assessed me is still doing the job?
Somehow, I very much doubt it.
Incidentally, zero points magically transposed into 21 at the MR stage.
Regards,
Phrank.
