CRY FOR HELP PLEASE! was created by akenasm
Hi moderators and other forum users, am crying for help please. Any one with an idea of how to scan PIP2 review form to computer, help me please. I tried doing it myself many times but failed and time is running out to return it. Reason am asking for help is because I had stroke a year ago and I don't have a grip to hold a pen upto now yet. So filling the review form by hand is impossible for me. I do type with my left hand but writing am right handed. I tried asking for help from neighbours but the pice tag (quote) for doing the work is un affordable. So, anyone with a slightest idea of doing the scanning works can either reach me privately or post it in the forum here. My email address is: akenasm at aol dot com.

I need to whole-heartedly apologise for two things: 1- long writing and 2- not using perhaps the right thread posting the request.

NB: I have been one of the biggest consumers of this website since 2010. Thanks. makennas.

Hello makennas,

It is really good to hear that you have found this site so helpful!

I have edited your email slightly so that it cannot be read by robots and potentially drown you in spam, however users will still be able to decipher it.

I have never tried scanning in the document, but what I frequently do is fill in the first few pages by hand – name, NI number etc etc – and tick the tick boxes throughout the form. After that I put a note in the large text boxes which says ‘see separate sheet’. I then type up the answer in word, using the same heading as they give, and submit that document along with the form. What you need to be careful to do is to include your name and NI on each separate sheet, either at the top or bottom. Given that you have difficulties beyond semi-legible handwriting, there is no reason why you should not type up all the answers. You can explain why you have done that, which can only help to demonstrate the issues you have.

I have also read on here of people typing up the answers, printing them off and then sticking them onto the form. Both systems would work, provided the glue holds, so it is up to you.

I am sorry that you are experiencing such problems, but hopefully one of the about systems will work for you.

Hi Catherine, thanks for your prompt reply to my request. Your suggestion comes handy and never though of it at all. Very much appreciated. I have been caught this time round because my usual assistant is hospitalised with covid -19 coming to two months now. All in all, thanks for the reply, suggestion and for being there for people like us.

Rgds,

makennas.
