My son has Aspergers and ADD He is 38 So all DWP correspondence goes to him . He was asked to fill in forms to renew his PIPS but has been very stressed and dealing with family issues and altho he completed the forms he has received notice that his benefits will stop as he missed their deadline . What should he do?
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
Your son needs to contact DWP ASAP and explain what has happened and why, if he cannot contact them then you can but he will need to be with you due to GDPR unless you have POA.
They should either give him an extension or his claim date will not start until they receive the form. If they close his claim then you may want to get your MP involved to get his claim reinstated.
