Replied by Catherine on topic about pip reviews, work and pensions questions,
Interesting link ccc, thank you for posting it.

My comment is that I will cling onto some hope, but remain severely sceptical until I see online improvements on the ground.

My biggest concern is that I suspect that they believe that each application where there is not a subsequent challenge by the claimant is a correct assessment, but we all know the challenge process is not easy and is sometimes painful, so I am sure there are many wrong initial assessments which are not correct, but are not challenged.

I can feel a little to my MP coming on....

Thanks for allowing, on P TV it would be about 40mins in.

for those who havnt , the MP Anna McMorris said on behalf of her constituents what they had gone through.

(So times that by every MP.)

"medical advice ignored by assessors" (even she does not use the words HEALTH PROFESSIONAL, because there not as atos maximus capita are not registered as private health care companys)

"trapped isolated/suicidal"
"all has rejected apps overturned many months later at tribunal"
"4 out of 5 faced unnecessary barriers to pip support"
"many are not so fortunate"
"what are ministers doing 1st time to avoid this trauma and delay"

Then Tomlinson answers.
But somewhere the words "stretched his credibility are used"

BBC news 8/7/21.

A Mr Mark Hughes , with terminal illness,
said he was denied benefits by assessor so he appealed.

he asked the dwp , do you check with hospitals and gp's before making a decision.
the dwp said no they go with what the assessor says.

Mr Hughes said the assessor that came around was, no more then 20 years old and not a medical trained person.

his benifits were then bumped straight up and wont bother him till 2025.

(please correct if incorrect)
