Change in treatment? was created by bluejay52
I was wondering if anyone can advise me.
Ive been getting enhanced PIP for over 3 years now(-mobility and care.-for an ongoing period).
My condition has now worsend
Subsiquently Ive had a major change to the prescribed drugs that to manage my condition.
Do I have to inform PIP, of this and may this trigger a new review?.
Thank you for your help

Hello bluejay52,

Technically the DWP say that you should notify them of any change of condition, however in reality they are only interested if your condition has improved.

Trying to put on an assessor's hat for a moment, I would ask has the major change to your prescribed drugs lessened the affect your condition has your Daily Living and Mobility. If the answer to that is that it has stayed the same or got worse then personally I would not bother to notify them. You are right it could trigger a review which would simply be a waste of everyone's time and energy.

But I must end with saying the wording the DWP use is that you should notify of them of any change in condition.... If you feel that this is the right route to go down, then, if it applies, I would include in my letter to them one from a medic saying that the impact of my condition on my Daily Living and Mobility has increased, and has not improved in any area.
