UC and disabled child element was created by lolalu22

My son has recently been awarded middle rate DLA. UC have added this element on to our payments but have not backdated it to the beginning of his DLA claim. i have put a note in the journal but as yet no one has bothered to get back to me whether this is backdatable. As soon as the decision was recieved they were informed.

Hi lolau22

As your son has been awarded the middle rate care of DLA then you would be entitled to the low Disabled Chils Element £128.89 pcm.

You need to ask for a revision/supersession on the grounds that you are now in receipt of a qualifying benefit. I would add a copy of the award letter on your journal.
