Limited capability work& work related activity was created by Elizabeth
Hello
I had to send my form back to UC for a reassessment for my limited capability for work and work related in February 2020.
Due to covid I didn't hear anything until a couple weeks ago to say I had a telephone assessment.
The nurse was so nice and really understood my mental health issues, I have agoraphobia, emotionally unstable personality disorder, depression and anxiety.
She said there was no cure for my personality disorder.
She also said she wishes she could call me to follow up just to see how I was.
She wanted to make sure I felt safe in my own home, I don't unfortunately due to the area but hopefully moving soon.
I wondered if she was just being manipulative and saying these things to draw me in. But no she wasn't. I got back my result letter within a matter of days to say that I was still in the right group.
My only issues is it doesn't say when they will get back in touch, it just says that they may ask me to attend another assessment in the future.
That's got my anxiety bad again. I thought it would be like PIP and give me a rough estimate, like 2025 is my next PIP date.
I've never had an assessment for UC before, as I was on ESA before that and they just transferred it over to UC.
Do you know where I could find out how long my award is for and where I would find it?
I don't have a breakdown on how many points I got awarded and for what.
Sorry if that makes no sense, my head is all over the place from lack of sleep and anxiety.
Many thanks
Liz

Hi Elizabeth
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.
Welcome to Benefits and Work .
Universal Credit LCW and LCWRA Decisions do not include an End Date or Award Length, the award is for an indefinite period but with scheduled reassessment, so there will be no end date or award length on the Decision Letter, if you have the assessment report then the "prognosis" is used to set the date, failing that contact the DWP office dealing with your claim, the reassessment date will be recorded on your computer record.
You need to request a copy of the assessment report (UC85), you should be able to do this via your UC Journal but the request may be actioned more quickly if a call to the UC Helpline is made: 0800 328 5644 / 9344 / 5646
We do hear on the forum of very nice assessors, we also hear of very nice assessors but once you get the assessors report (UC 85) back it seems to be based on another person.
Good luck with your claim, let us know how you get on.
