Hi, can you advise if you are given notice of your PIP telephone assessment. Or do they just phone at any time.
Many thanks..

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Souter
You will receive a letter about a telephone assessment. Sometimes a claimant might receive a telephone call about a booking - if they want to arrange one at short notice - (but this can always be turned down). They won't just ring and expect you to be ready for an assessment.

It might be a text if you have given them a mobile number. But they are supposed I believe to give you 7 days notice. The big thing is, it is always better to ask for it to be recorded. I personally would suggest you contact them immediately to request this. It will likely cause a delay, as some of the assessors hate to be on the record. But do you want to be assessed by a person who is ashamed of their work practices???
Either way, it is good to arrange for someone supportive to sit in with you.
Best wishes, Denby
