PIP and Telephone Assessment was created by Battlezone
I had a review of my PIP and I submitted my form early February 2021. I have been in receipt of DLA/PIP for over 15 years, but only Enhanced Care Component as I previously lived in Spain. I returned to the UK in December 2020 which triggered a change of circumstances because I was eligible to claim Mobility.
After requesting a telephone recording of my assessment this happened 5 weeks ago. I was awarded Enhanced Care and Standard Mobility with 14 and 10 points respectively. I submitted a Mandatory Reconsideration because, like many people, I disagreed with the PA4 report. Especially their point that I have not seen a specialist for 6 months. I cannot get a GP appointment let alone an appointment with a consultant. Up to December when I lived in Spain my appointments continued despite Covid.
Last week I realised that I had not received my CD of the assessment. I telephoned the HA and they informed me that the "burning" machine had broken, but a copy would be sent soon. Today I received a phone call from the HA saying that the nurse who did my assessment hit the wrong button and deleted the recording. They told me to ring the DWP, which I did, making a complaint.
I explained to the DWP that I was relying on the recording because the PA4 is inaccurate, it even contained medical issues that I do not suffer from. Not having a recording will not help if my case goes to a tribunal.
Any advice on Telephone Assessment recording being deleted by the HA?

Hi Battlezone
I'm sorry this has happened to you, but there is little we can say that may be helpful. If the recording doesn't exist, there's nothing you can do about it other than complain - which you have already done so and challenge all the areas where you know the report to be inaccurate through an MR. Having the recording makes things easier, but it doesn't mean you won't win your MR because you don't have one.

this is all complete and utter male bovine droppings, they aint sent mine either, (now i know what excause they will tell my MP) get your MP to right to them about this, the more that do then mybe it will be bought up in house of commons about it.
once maximus had to compensate as they said they had cancelled the appointment because the assessor had deleted it by accident, thats after id been there with a witness who recorded it. with MP 's interference.

A quick update. Made a complaint to the DWP but obviously nothing could be done.
But I received a telephone call today from PIP concerning my MR. I was previously awarded 14 points for Care and 10 points for Mobility. He explained that he wanted to give me the 2 extra points I needed for Enhanced Rate for Mobility but wanted confirmation that he was correct in putting it in the MH category. He asked me a few questions and then he said my new award letter would be in the post. I asked does this mean I had "won" my MR and he said yes.
Once again a big thank you to this site for all your helpful guides, and to the people who answer our questions.

Hi Battlezone
Congratulations on your award, especially after a botched recording. Well done for raising it with them.
