Work/pip was created by John
Hi I’m getting really anxious and worried about my assessment next week.
I have depression, anxiety, asthma, angina, high blood pressure/cholesterol,hiatus hernia and back and shoulder pain.
They are all controlled by medication.
My concern is that I won’t be able to answer questions on with all these conditions how I manage to keep full time employment.
Does anyone have any experience advice on this

Hi John

I would advise that you go through the information in dealing with telephone assessments. The aim of the assessor is not to focus on your specific medical conditions but on how any medical conditions impact on your daily living and mobility. There are claimants who work and still successfully claim PIP. Only you know how it impacts on that. Suggest you write down a bulleted list of any reasonable adjustments that have been made, or extra breaks you have or aids that you use, or extra support you need, or any communication difficulties that you face at work - so you'll be ready to respond to any questions.
