Hi I am doing MR for PIP and the assessor has not done a typical but has put bits on the activities. she has referred to a typical day in her report mainly on mobility, so should i send in a typical because her account of one is different in reality to mine. would it help

Hi HazelYoung

If the assessor used the phrase a 'typical day' and her account is different from your own, it might be helpful to put in an account of a 'typical day'. However, I would say proceed with caution because some claimants find that a typical day is interpreted as 'every day'. Only you know your conditions and how they impact you, so just make sure that you are clear and make sure your example falls back to the PIP criteria.

Be very careful.. I gave an example of what happens when I do ‘too much’ and THAT was used as a typical day (ignoring the following several days in bed).. Some assessors are suspect to say the least… My working 3 HRS a week was also ‘proof’ that I was absolutely fine; according to the FTT!!!
